Welcome to Homesteaders!  
Homesteaders provides support to the Christian homeschooling family through the following:
  • Mom's Support Night
  • Cooperative Committees
  • Cooperative Educational Classes
  • Field Trips
  • Service Opportunities, and Special Events.
Our purpose is to provide a supportive environment where Christian home education can be learned and taught, where educational activities are shared among our children in an atmosphere of Christian love and discipline, and where opportunities for God--glorifying friendships among children and adult members can occur.

We are organized along cooperative committees which take responsibility for conducting our administrative business and planning our activities.  Every member accepts a committee assignment and is responsible for completing the duties that go with her assignment.  This format has served us well since 1991.  Homesteaders is a well-run and productive organization thanks to our dedicated moms and their servants' hearts and hands.  Student events are open to member children only.
 
Homesteaders moms meet monthly for fellowship, business, and learning.  Meetings include devotional time and prayer, teaching tips, and informal group discussion.   Attendance at these monthly meetings is mandatory for members.  We meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  Visitors are welcome to attend any of the following meetings during the 2013-2014 school year:

The meeting originally scheduled for April 17, 2014, has been canceled because a Maundy Thursday service is being held at the church. 

Visitors must attend any two monthly meetings during the current school year before requesting an interview and applying to join Homesteaders.  Attending our meetings allows you to get to know us better and helps both of us determine if Homesteaders is a good fit for you and your family.  Please note that membership for a given school year closes as of December 31 of that school year.  Registrations are accepted for the following school year beginning in mid to late May.
